Downloading Software


You have the option of using software or online prescription forms, you are able to choose the option that suits your clinic best.

Below is step by step on how to download the software. For more information on online scripts CLICK HERE.

1. Login to your portal via orthotech.com.au/portal/login

2. In the main menu select Downloads > Software or CLICK HERE.

3. Click on Orthotech_3D_Install, it should download automatically.

4. Once downloaded, run.

5. Click Finish.

The Software is now downloaded on your computer, the icon which is a green box with a white O is now installed on your desktop.

Next step is creating a shortcut on the desktop for easy access, please see Creating Script Location Shortcut tab below.

Updating Software


When there is a new update for our Prescription Software we will make youo aware via email:

1. Login to your portal via orthotech.com.au/portal/login.

2. In the main menu select Downloads > Software or CLICK HERE

3. Click on Orthotech_3D_Install, it should download automatically.

4. Ensure you have closed the existing software before downloading the updated version.

4. Once downloaded, run.

5. Tick 'no more queries' when prompted.

6. Click Finish.




Creating Default Forms


Default Forms allow you to save your details and common selections for all Prescription Forms created via the Orthotech Software.

This is a great way to save time if you have multiple podiatrists, locations or common scripts you use. There is no limit to these defaults.

1. Open the software. You have four choices, the custom Prescription Form which also brings up the scanner, Polar Bear semi-custom, control360 and Control360 Pro Prescription Forms which do not require a scan.

2. Fill out your details (Name, Phone, Email, Clinic and Address) plus anything else in the Prescription Form you would like to save.

3. In the bottom right of the Prescription Form you will see a button called Save as default form, Press that to save.

Prescription Forms Overview


The Orthotech Prescription Software gives you access to four scripts: Custom, Polar Bear Semi-Custom, Control360 Prefab and Control360 Pro.

Custom

Custom orthotics require a scan or cast as it is customised to your patients’ foot. You have the selection of 7 designs plus the option of creating you own.

From there we are able to select any shell material and add intrinsic/extrinsic modifications to your prescription. CLICK HERE for an interactive guide that include definitions, average use, videos and photos.

Polar Bear Semi-Custom

For a semi-custom orthotic you do not take a scan or cast of the foot, we supply you with a template to measure the foot against.

You have the selection of 4 designs, 4 Rearfoot degrees, 3 arch heights and 12 sizes. You are able to select any shell material and add any extrinsic additions onto the orthotics just like a custom. CLICK HERE for an interactive guide that include definitions, average use, videos and photos.

Control360 Prefab

The Cotnrol360 range are a polypropylene prefabricated orthotics based of our most commonly prescribed orthotic designs from our custom and semi-custom range.

They come in three different designs and five different flexes that are all 2.8mm thick yet mimic the flex of 1mm to 5mm polypropylene orthotics. CLICK HERE for an interactive guide that include definitions, average use, videos and photos.

Control360 Pro

The Control360 Pro range is the same as the Control360 range however any extrinsic additions can be added to the orthotics just like a semi-custom and custom. CLICK HERE for an interactive guide that include definitions, average use, videos and photos.




Opening Prescription Forms


Prescription Forms and scans creating by the Orthotech Software are locked to the software therefore you will need to open them within the software if you want to view or edit your Prescription Form: 1. Open the Orthotech 3D Software 2. Select File in the top left hand corner and select Open. 3. Chose the Prescription Forms you would like to open and double click, from here you can view, edit or print the script.




Locating Prescription Forms


The default location for prescriptions located in your (C:) drive, they are then saved by year and date. Please see below step by step on how to locate your lost Prescription Forms, the Prescription Form location can be changed by following the instructions in the tab Changing Prescription Forms Location below.

Please note: you are unable to open and view the scripts outside of the Prescription Forms, please see tab Opening Prescription Forms if you are wanting to view, edit or print your Prescription Forms.

1. Head to My Computer or This PC.

2. Click on Windows (C:) under Drives and Devices.

3. Click on Program Files (Not to get confused with Program Files x86) and locate the Othotech_3D folder.

4. Click on 3D Data to view the year and date folders storing your prescriptions.

If you are unable to locate them, using your folder search bar and typing in the Patients name will help you locate them.




Changing Prescription Forms Location


You can customise your Prescription Form location if you wish, this is only suggested if you are placing the folder on a cloud or server to access Prescription Forms from multiple computers.

1. Create the folder you are wanting the Prescription Forms in the location you want them to be saved in.

2. Open the Orthotech 3D Software.

3. Under Setup in the top left hand corner and select Setup.

4. Half way down the first column, tick Set my 3D data folder path.

5. Select Folder… and Locate the folder you created in step one.

6. Once you have selected the folder, click OK and Save your changes.




Creating Script Location Shortcut


Creating a shortcut to your script location will allow you quicker access to your scripts to send off.

1. Head to My Computer or This PC.

2. Click on Windows (C:) under Drives and Devices.

3. Click on Program Files (Not to get confused with Program Files x86) and locate the Othotech_3D folder.

4. Right click on the 3D Data folder and select either Create Shortcut or New > Shortcut depending on your options.

5. Ensure that the shortcut has been created on your desktop, it will either automatically do this, or you will have to move the shortcut from the 3D Data folder to the desktop by dragging it.




Sending Prescription Forms


Once you have completed and saved your Prescription Form/s and Scans to begin manufacture we require them to be sent to the lab, this can be done online or via email. Online CLICK HERE for the overview and step by step for uploading Prescription Forms and scans online. Email 1. Login or open your email software. 2. Create new email. 3. TO: prescriptions@orthotech.com.au 4. Attach your Prescription Form/s and Scans, you can either drag and drop your files into the upload section or upload via the upload button. For more information on locating scripts please see Locating Prescription Forms tab. 8. Press Send. You will receive an email within 5 minutes confirming your order. We suggest saving prescriptions@orthotech.com.au as a contact for future use, if you require to change or cancel your order please email prescriptions@orthotech.com.au with your request.




Saving Prescription Form as PDF


If you want to store the prescription form in your patients file or send the prescription form to someone that does not have the Orthotech Software you are able to save the presription form as a PDF.

  1. Press Print... which is located at the bottom of the presctipion form
  2. Select PDF in the printer drop down menu
  3. Name your file and save it to a location of your choice




Two prescription forms with one set of scans


  1. Open the software and click on custom orthotics as per usual.

  2. Fill out the patient's name; please add '1' after the full name.

  3. Scan patient as per usual.

  4. Fill out the prescription form after scanning as per usual.

  5. For the second prescription form, proceed to open software and click on custom orthotics once again as per usual.

  6. Instead of just filling out the patient's name, please fill out the entire prescription form; please add '2' after the full name.

  7. Save this prescription form and exit software.

  8. Open the software and proceed to 'open'. Both prescription forms and one set of scans will appear.





Online

Auto-fill Clinic and Podiatrist Details


When using the online prescription forms, we suggest using the auto-fill option supplied by your internet browser. Below is an example using the Chrome browser:




Uploading Software Prescription Forms


1. Log in to your portal via myorthotech.com.au

2. In the main menu, select Ordering > Online Orders

3. Select Upload Software Prescription Form

4. Add Podiatrist details and the best contact email for yourself or the clinic; this will send you an automatic response confirming your orders once submitted.

5. Add an additional email in CC email; this is optional; however, great for practice managers and receptions, allowing them to be up to date with what orders have been sent.

6. Add the patient name/s; this is optional. You can send multiple scripts and scans at once. Limit is 12 files in total (4 Orthotech 3D MINI Orders and 6 Orthotech 3D EDGE Orders) Press Next.

7. Attach your Prescription Form/s and Scans; you can either drag and drop your files into the grey section or upload via the upload button. Please see the Finding Script or Scans via Upload Button or Drag and Drop Function tab under the Software Tab for more information.

8. Press Submit. You will receive an email within 5 minutes confirming your order with your uploads attached.

There are specific details required to be filled out for every form, and you can spot them by the *. This minimises any risk of mistakes and quickens the turnover time.




Online Ordering | Options


This is the first step when using your Myorthotech portal to place an orthotic order. Here, you can select three options.

Online Prescription Form

Select this option to fill out your online prescription form from scratch. This option is for new orders which do not have a script created via the Orthotech software. You can find more information on how to fill out this form below.

Upload Software Prescription Form

Select this option if you are using the Orthotech 3D software to fill out your scripts.

Re-Order of Previous Order

Select this option if you are ordering a second pair of Orthotics previously manufactured at Orthotech.

Please Note: When selecting this option, you can request minor changes to your script, quantity or posting address.

Re-order of Previous Order


1. Log in to your portal via myorthotech.com.au

2. In the main menu, select Ordering > Online Orders

3. Select Re-order of Previous Order

4. Add Podiatrist details and the best contact email for yourself or the clinic; this will send you an automatic response confirming your orders once submitted.

5. Add the patients name 6. Select whether you would like to make any changes to your script or address, and indicate the quantity required. 7. If you have a copy of the existing script, you can upload this here, or, you can leave this section blank and we can check our archives for this patient 8. If script changes was selected, you will see a text box appear to list these changes. 9. If address change was selected, a section will appear to fill in these details. 10. You may also choose to Post to Patient, If selected a text box will appear to fill in these details.

11. Return Required: If orthotics are needed to be returned by a certain date, select express and/or the date required by.

Please Note: Express orders are subject to an additional dispatch fee which can be found on your price-list.

12. Press Submit. You will receive an email within 5 minutes confirming your order with your uploads attached.

8. Upload scans for your patient or select an alternate option.

Handy Hint: You can click the Orthotech ‘i’ and this will provide extra information on each section when filling out the script

9. Return Required: If orthotics are needed to be returned by a certain date, select express and/or the date required by. Please Note: Express orders are subject to an additional dispatch fee which can be found on your price-list.

7. The online ordering form is separated into designs. Here you can select the density, finish, size and amount. If you require an additional order in the same design (e.g. different size, density or finish) click ‘add item’ and fill out additional sections as required.

8. Delivery Address: Select clinic address or post to patient. If post to patient is selected, a text box will appear to provide alternate address. 9.Press Submit. You will receive an email within 5 minutes confirming your order with your uploads attached.

If you are needing an orthotic to be recovered or adjusted, we require you to fill out an Orthotech Recovers and Adjustments online form located in your Myorthotech portal. Orthotech can adjust both Orthotech and non-Orthotech orthotics. For more information on Recovers and adjustments CLICK HERE

4. In the Type dropdown box, select Re-covers and Adjustments

7. Select what changes you would like for the current additions on the orthotics for the lab staff 8. Add any additional notes 9. Select whether you would like the Orthotics to be cut the same size, or overside to cut yourself Please Note: Some of the fields are selected by box or require text

10. Upload any additional images or documents relating to the patient, or indicate if you are sending additional information separately.

Postage & Delivery Address

11. Add your tracking details 12. Select clinic address or post to patient. If post to patient is selected, a text box will appear to provide alternate address. 13. Press Submit. You will receive an email within 5 minutes confirming your order with your uploads attached.

Online Prescription Form | Plate/Insole


Plate/Insole are ground to the general shape of the shoe insole and is used to immobilise an area of the foot without immobilising the ankle. For more information on Plates & Insoles CLICK HERE

7. Select Side Options (left/right/pair) and quantity

8. Select material and sizing option

Please Note: When sending through a tracing via fax or email, please include measurements as images can come through incorrectly sized.

9. Upload any additional images or documents relating to the patient

Online Prescription Form | Reverse Engineer


A Reverse Engineer is when you require an orthotic that was not manufactured at Orthotech Laboratory to be duplicated. If you would like to reorder a pair of orthotics previously made at Orthotech, this can be done by selecting the reorder option. For more information on reverse engineers CLICK HERE

9. Upload any additional images or documents relating to the patient, or indicate if you are sending additional information separately.
